The challenge

7 specialized accounting roles to fill in 12 weeks, in a market where every CPA is already booked into a busy season somewhere else.

The firm had three new mid-market mandates signed and a fourth in final stages, but accounting headcount was the bottleneck. The single in-house recruiter had spent four months on two CPA roles and closed neither. Outreach responses from designated CPAs were running at 3%, and headhunter retainers on tax specialists would have eaten 35% of project margins. Hiring more recruiters wouldn't have helped because the candidate pool was too narrow and too well-treated by competitors.

The approach

Sourcify took the entire sourcing motion off the in-house recruiter's plate and ran it as a parallel engine focused on hard-to-reach accounting talent.
